Microsoft Lync and XO Technology SIP Trunk
4.6 Step 6: Configure IP Profiles
This step describes how to configure IP Profiles. The IP Profile defines a set of call
capabilities relating to signaling (e.g., SIP message terminations such as REFER) and
media (e.g., coder and transcoding method).
In this interoperability test topology, IP Profiles need to be configured for the following IP
entities:
Microsoft Lync Server 2013 - to operate in secure mode using SRTP and TLS
XO Communications SIP trunk - to operate in non-secure mode using RTP and UDP
Note that the IP Profiles were assigned to these entities (i.e., IP Groups) in the previous
step (see Section 4.5 on page 42).
To configure IP Profiles:
1. Open the IP Profile Settings page (Configuration tab > VoIP > Coders and Profiles
> IP Profile Settings).
2. Configure an IP Profile for Lync Server 2013:
